    Greubel Forsey Balancer 3

Greubel Forsey opens a new door into its world: Balancier 3. This watch joins the Convex series with a more refined appearance. Featuring majestic arches, this skeletonized titanium piece is crafted in multiple layers and is available in black or blue finishes. Stronger and more affordable, while reinforcing Atelier's high-precision timekeeping standards and finishes.

Greubel Forsey has spent nearly 20 years meeting this challenge to produce a new, more accessible timepiece with a unique identity. To achieve this, the studio needed to start from scratch. How do you create a Apenas usuários registrados e ativados podem ver os links., Clique aqui para se cadastrar... with a comfortable diameter that fits an Atelier Manufacture movement? How can you make it more affordable when the piece still needs to be 100% hand-finished? Balancier 3 answers all these questions.

The first is style. From the beginning, the work was characterized by its three protruding bridges, the first of which houses the barrel, the second of which houses the large balance wheel, and the third and most striking bridge. Notably, it is connected to a seconds counter and supports hours and minutes display.

All of these bridges feature Greubel Forsey's signature handcrafted finish. Curved polished surfaces, polished bevels and hand polished screws. Each bridge plate features sharp internal corners and curved contours that make the hand-finished finish particularly complex—details that collectors are sure to appreciate. This design is part of the Convex range. Balancier 3 features an iconic shell that's slimmer than before. Its lugs no longer have screws – a first for Greubel Forsey. The convex case has contours on both the back and the display, making it truly unique in fine watchmaking. The product naturally molds to the curve of the wrist, providing complete comfort. On the dial side, the double curvature slopes towards the ends of the strap, creating a highly aesthetic volume that the movement uses to unfold itself.

Then, there was movement. It imbues the timepiece with a dynamic, contemporary style and delivers impeccable precision while still being Greubel Forsey’s most affordable creation. To achieve this, Greubel Forsey once again called on the extensive expertise of its team. The idea was to create a simple, streamlined and modern design that allows you to appreciate the finish of each movement component. With this in mind, Atelier focuses on the technical nature of its timepieces. From the source of energy to the escapement, barrel and large balance wheel that drive it. Master the essence of time. The two fast-rotating barrels in series (one revolution every 32 hours) are clearly visible and decorated with the distinctive rotating graphic design that has become a staple of the Convex range. Together they provide a 3-day chronometric power reserve . The watch will continue to run for many more hours, but may not achieve the accuracy required by Greubel Forsey. For the first time in the Convex series, the power reserve is displayed on the case back.

On the other side, the large balance wheel – the “Balancier” (hence the name of the watch) – is located between 4 and 6 o’clock. Conveniently integrated into the design, this Greubel Forsey variable inertia balance is balanced with 6 gold averaging time screws. It has Atelier’s signature large diameter of 1 2 6 mm, one of the most imposing diameters in contemporary fine watchmaking. Its vibrations echo the small seconds dial at 8 o'clock and its fixed indicator, which is actually the disc underneath, satin-finished. Hand, rotates and marks elapsed seconds. Finally comes the finishing touch. The wide bridge supporting the hour and minute hands is a prime example of this. Its curved three-dimensional skeleton design, multiple levels, numerous sharp internal angles and delicate arms connected to the small seconds hand are truly masterpieces. Its extremely complex geometry is perfectly matched by its hand finishing. This craftsmanship is reproduced on both sides of the barrel bridge and the balance bridge, which are beautifully hand-polished and have the same convex surface as the case that houses them.
